Dr. Albert Nwaba is a highly skilled Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with expertise in a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. He Holds a triple Fellowship from Australia, United Kingdom and the United States of America. He completed his advanced specialist training in General Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology, including liver transplantation, in Perth, Western Australia. Dr. Nwaba further pursued his medical training in the United Kingdom after graduating from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.
His subspecialist interests include chronic and acute liver diseases, endoscopy, viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and general gastroenterology.
In addition to his clinical roles, he serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Rural Clinical School at the University of Tasmania and actively involved in Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) where he serves in several committees including Education, Private Practice Network (PPN) and Regional and Rural Special Interest Group.
Dr. Nwaba’s comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing chronic and acute liver diseases, along with his expertise in endoscopy and viral hepatitis, make him a trusted healthcare provider in the gastroenterology and hepatology fields.
